Default Carver M500-T Unit fuse

The slow blow fuse blew in my unit, at least a voltmeter says it will not conduct. What is the value of the fuse. I can't make it out. I've had the unit for over 30 years and never blew the fuse. Had to fuse my old ARs.

Would appreciate any help. I'm a newbee to this site.

The fuse is a 10amp slow blow. Word of caution: You run the risk of further damage if you go replacing it thinking everything will be fine. If you wanna take your chances with trying a replacement so beit but if it blows again take the amp to an EXPERIENCED CARVER tech.

If that fuse blows the amp is damaged, do not replace it.

Check the triac for shorts, then the rectifier diodes in the supplies, last, check the outputs.

If he's had it 30 years it's possible the fuse has just blown from being "tired". I would recommend replacing it, but power up with a bulb in series with the Live/Hot line (see elsewhere on the forum). If the bulb glows bright, then the amp is damaged.

If you have further problems, get hold of Anatech from this forum - he is the man when it comes to Carver.
