Hi
I am wanting to do a full recap on a Krell KSP-7B Power Supply - there are 2 sprague 4700uf 50v main caps 4 RDE 1000uf 25v caps 4 RDE 470uf 40v caps Any idea which are best the replacements available in UK Cheers Drewj |

The yellow Roedersteins are not bad, particularly in the bass. Although it's more than 20 years since i last used them i think it's easy to get disappointed with the bass performance of many current replacements.
The recap choice will depend largely upon your budget. Nichicon Gold Tune are not expensive and would be a real improvement upon the Spragues. Maybe increase the values as well. For the 1000/25 and 470/50 i would definitely choose BG standard. After break-in they will improve the sound in many areas but might lose some solidity in the bass. |
