I just picked up some surplus 550va toroids for a future Aleph project. They have 4 leads coming out of them, where as others have 6 leads. Is this still OK for such a project??

TIA

If you're looking at 4 leads from the secondary they're suitable....

Does anyone know an online source for surplus transformers I could use for an aleph? I've been very hard pressed to find any. I would be more than happy to use a couple for each amp if necessary. I'm building either an Aleph 4 or a pair of Aleph 2's. Thanks.

Thanks for the links. Do you know if the 1010VA transformer on the apex jr. page would work to create the +/- 48 Volts of the Aleph 4 or the +/- 45 Volts of the Aleph 2?
