Hi All,
I am currently working on designing a bookshelf system and have selected everything except the amplifiers. The system utilizes a digital crossover so I will be bi-amping my drivers. Here's what I have so far: Squeezebox Aardvark Audio SPDIF - AES/EBU converter BSS Audio FDS-366 Loudspeaker Management System Drivers (not purchased yet): RAAL 70-10D ScanSpeak 18W/8531G My only technical requirement for the amps is balanced XLR inputs. I'm not opposed to tubes either, but I think my budget will limit me to SS. I'd like to spend ~$500 or less per amp. I am also not opposed to pro audio gear or used gear. Please let me know what amps you think would fit well within the system. Comments on the drivers are welcome too. Tks Jim |
