I don't know the ST120, but I would be very surprised if there weren't any fuses in it, especially in the main power line coming in. That would be very dangerous.
I suspect that the information you read was referring to there being no fuses in the signal path between the amplifier output and the speakers.
If you are missing the fuse socket, it shouldn't be hard to find a suitable replacement, and I am sure that you can find the correct rating for the fuse on the 'net.
I don't recall the URL, but I do know that there is a website out there that is dedicated to old Dynaco stuff, in particular the transistor stuff like your ST120. Do a google search for ST120 schematic, you should find something.
