Lightbulb Ratshack Remote control for preamp

Iam in the process of building the P88 preamp. Wanted to add a motorised pot and a remaote contol. I just saw this in the store and thought that if it could be rigged to control two DPDT relays for the volume up/down. Iam asking this as the product is specifically ment for video signals switching. Would like to have valuable inputs from some gurus in this field. Thankshttp://www.radioshack.com/product.as...5Fid=15%2D1968
