I am replacing two leaky capacitors in a classic HiFonics Odin auto amplifier. They are 2700uf 16v Nichicon polarized electrolytic capacitors. Can I replace them with 3300 uf 16v like capacitors (I am thinking BlackGate) and get away with it? Will it sound better? Have more power? Anyone know where I can find Nichicon Gold capacitors?

Thanks in advance.

Hello Soundquest, yes you can replace your current 2700uF with 3300uF without any issues, just keep the voltage rating the same or higher. It might help the bass attack a little, but that's not really enough of a change to make a noticeable difference.
Can't help you with sourcing the Nichi Golds though.

Peace,

Dave
