On the other hand, has anyone tried the 60w amplifier design by ESP (Rod Elliott)?

http://sound.au.com

I've started desiging my own amp; this seems like a nice & simple design to start working on a 2x60w. Any feedback is appreciated, tnx!

I was wondering, how did it perform without those mods (if you tried it of course)? Do you have a schematic for them?

Yes, I tried, but in my opinion the THD was a more than I expected. But the soun is good.

About the schematics, I have them only on paper, but you can find them here
http://www.dself.demon.co.uk/dipa.htm.

There are some concepts to inprove THD

Smile Re:

THD was bad? Interesting, it was said it's well below 0,01% even in the worst cases... i'll check it. BTW thanks for the schematics!

Would you be so kind to inform me about your tests and results.
My e-mail address is datanasov@fmi.uni-sofia.bg.

In my amp I used 2sa1302 and 2sc3281

Default PCB

Hi all,
Can anyone suggest a PCB layout for the 60W amp?
Thanks in advance.
Cheers,
Vivek.

Can't say much about layout, but the guy who designed the amp has premade boards available for like AU$26, which is less than US$20. I've never shipped to/from Australia, but I'd imagine the shipping would be less than $10.

The site is http://www.sound.au.com
