Hafler P3000 trans nova volume potentiometer...

Hello!

I am deperatly searching for a B5k ohms potentiometer to replace the one on channel 1 of my beloved Halfer P 3000 Transnova amp.

Anyone knows where I can find one?

I have a question: what does the B before the 5k means?

Linear.

A 4.7K one should do the job just as well.

P3000 pots

According to the schematic/partslist, the front panel pot for channel 1 of the P3000 is R24A/R24B, whcih is a dual 10K pot, not a 5K as you stated. The part number for the original pot (Hafler) is RV-0818; the mfg (ALPS) part number for this part is 344A-10KBx2.

B means linear taper. The value is not that important. Anything between 4.7K to 25K should be fine.
