Headphone amp circuit for preamp use.

A curious question.

Will a solid state head amp circuit be good for line level preamp use?

Whats the disadvantage of a SS head amp if used as a line level preamp? And whats the difference?

The answer is yes, if the headphone amp is good enough.

Just keep in mind that the headphone amp may have too much gain and hence the amount of the volume control that is useable may be small.
