I know this probably should not be on here but does anyone know how I can improve the 'musicality' of this cinema amp?
It seems a fairly well specified amp but its sound is a too lifeless, if you know what I mean. There is not enough bass extension through the main speakers even when set to the lowest crossover point, and the treble could be better too.
A Marantz CD 63se is used for cd's and Kef Q5's.

It's a cinema amp. What you're hearing is the compromises made in the design of such amps in order to avoid huge power supplies that these amps just dont have room or budget for.

Keep it for cinema use and get a good stereo amp for music use.

Thanks jaycee. I know this is a cinema amp and there are many design considerations, but I would like to see if it can be improved.

This amp is used in a second room mainly for watching films and I have a seperate system for audio only. I feel that there should be something that can be gained from some moderate improvements.

Thanks
Gareth
