John:

I forgot to mention the reason for the 10 K input was to load the Jensen transformers.

We yanked all the input section on the 1200's and just used the
balanced to single ended transformer. It did sound sweet!

I may just take out the pots and bypass the switch then.

IMS, this just confuses the situation. Jensen makes a good transformer, but it is a major cost factor, and not necessary, most of the time.

Default TRANSFORMERS

I have to fix the amp..on way or another.

so I did not know which would sound better..

I have 2 transformers laying around, hence the "urge" to use them, if applicable!

Just seeking the opinion of the master!

Thanks!

IMS, you should just get the unit repaired, then decide on the transformer. It can be completely external, without any serious compromise.

Hi All,

Some years ago I listened to a 6ch Parasound amp. Don't remember which.
Even though, at the time, iy was above my budget I remember it fairly priced
considering the chassis and guts.

The setup was Meridian CD and small Totem speakers and we used it as 2ch amp.
I remember the sound was really nice with absolutely no hang-ups.

If I had the money I would have bought it and probably would have still
used it.
I can't imagine that anyone would need anything better....
(That is my personal opinion so don't be to hard on me for saying that)

Cheers / Mattias
