Roland Spirit Bass 50

I'm a DIY guy used to working with tube circuits. I'm new to solid state amplifiers in terms of repairs and modification.

I've inherited the aforementioned amp. While it powers up, none of the pots work. With an instrument plugged in, the amp produces enough volume that I think a preamp circuit is good. After that, it's anybody's guess. The amp includes a parametric eq section that stops all sound when the switch is engaged.

I contacted Roland about the schematic but they weren't able to produce one. Any ideas where I might begin?

There is currently a Roland schematic on sale at www.ebay.com
from Renaissance Music in Ontario Canada. They are asking $19.99 plus $8 shipping.

Thanks for the direction. I actually worked with a friend and fixed the amp, but did not repair the parametric EQ switch. Turned out some of the contacts on the board were bad. Just a lot of soldering (sp?).
