There are quite a few things you can do to improve the KSA-100. Have you seen the schematics? If not Krell KSA 100 type amplifier

The slew rate can be improved with current mirrors and CCS's on the input stage. I have been going over the schematic lately (I want to build one), I have been unable to find most of the transistors so be careful you don't ruin any of them. The believe many better transistors can be had, but look into the simple mirrors and CCS's first.

No apologies necessary. Trust me, your English is much, much better than my German.
