Default 8L and 2 L 2SC679\ 2SA1079

Can buy some chinese copies of these Toshiba transistors but they have the 8L and 2L nummering.
L is lower in specs as the Y suppose.

But is the L version still usable in a sansui amplifier
or is the deypart inside the transistor so small that they will smoke very soon .
