the dual transistor multiplier allows temperature compensation of the output stage bias currents by monitoring both the pre-driver temperature and the output temperature.

The effect of driver Vbe changes with temperature do not need compensation.

1.2V reference would be better. Would you tell us confidentially who's the mastermind behind the arrangement around T5 and what prevents you from using active current sources?
