Guess what Nelson...you are right...I've completely misunderstood schematic (btw, numbering on input J-fet buffers is somewhat misleading), I even miss the complementary differential second stage...oh well it's 3am here.

Outputs are motorola TO-220 15030 and 031 if I remember correctly. I don't really care about the servo etc just fixed it and got bored. We also have to work on stuff that pays the bills.

If you enhance the output devices on the picture of the amp's inside of the KSA-5V brochure it reads the big M logo on two of them, definitely MJEs.
=> http://www.xs4all.nl/~hansvt/pdf/brochures/ksa5.pdf

Enough of the MJE150** in parallel makes an output stage of a decent size power amp, as the Continuum Duhh group did with their S5 model, 50 Watts of Class A.

Wayne, thanks for posting the schematic.

Figured i would add a bit on this. As a speaker amp, i did not think it
sounded very good. But as a headphone amp it is absolutely fantastic.
Just for fun, and because after years of trying to buy one, i'm finally doing
a diy version.

Real reverse engineered schematic of the amplifier
http://gilmore.chem.northwestern.edu/ksa5.pdf

virtually identical layout klone board single channel with
much more ground plane.

2 stacked for balanced much more fun for HIFIMAN HE6 headphones
