Hi,
A Hitachi HA-D100 amp has come into my posession and it's a reasonable piece of kit. It has a "surround-sound" capability, but I'm not really sure what it does or how to make it do anything. There are outputs for 2 pairs of speakers, one "main", one "surround". The main ones seem to work in the usual way, but despite getting some "glow" from the "surround" icon, nothing seems to come out of the other speaker connectors. I kinda assumed that there is a low-pass filter triggering this off but I can't get anything out. There doesn't seem to be any dolby technology in there as far as I can figure. ANybody know this amp or anything about its technology? Regards, skelband |
