upto 145v and upto 1.5kw and small hi-fi
i use smt now
i may have some of the to92's in my draws.

some years ago the 970's we tested them for vdc and thay came in at close to 300v
the tosh parts are exceptonaly consistent.

the mpsa are quite unuseable.

I agree that MPSA are not so good because to achive a rise time of 1,9 žsec (less than by no way) the difference amplifier needs a current of 6mA approx. from the CCS. On the contrary for 2N5401 3mA it is more than enough.

I ordered from RS components 40 pairs of 2SA970-2SC2240. I believe that these will not be tosh parts. What is your opinion about RS parts? Can i trust these?
Thanks Andy

Thank you verry much Andy. I am obliged to you for the precious informations. As i understand i can trust 2SA-2SC for +/-70Vdc supply and for Ic as much 3 to 6 mA. When you come back, please contact with me to say me the cost for the bag of parts.
I wish you good holidays "in the sun"
Regards
Fotios
