OPA4228 runs hot

Hello folks,

I hope to find help here as the engineers at TI have no answers!!!
They say there was a thermal issue but was never followed up on!!!

I replaced TL074's with the 0PA4228 and while the sound is greatly improved the op amps seem to run quite a bit hotter in temp. I am also having the same problem with the dual version.

Has anyone had any similar experience? Solutions?

If you read the spec sheet you will find they draw twice as much power, so they should run hotter.

Spec for the quad version says about 0.45W at ±15V, a bunch for this small package.

I didn't consider the draw, everything else seems to be fine.
