Different pinout for the same BJT

I just ordered some SANYO bjt (2SC1209/2SA2911) from www.electronix.com. I got two different pinout for the same model of transistor, one is E, C, B (left to right) which is exactly the same as datasheet, the other is B,C,E.

Could anybody give some advice? Many thanks

I have had the same experience with different makes of MPSA42/92 transistors

My conclusion was that the one with "wrong" pinout was counterfeit (fakes) and I trached them......

Thank you very much for the reply.

It's such a pitty that we have so many fake transistors. Among 20Pcs that I bought, I got only 2 with the same pinout as datasheet. So it seems like I have to give all up,

Select your suppliers with great care..... I do !!!
If possible I buy directly from the source e.g. Onsemi etc.
