DMM for Hfe testing

Well I dropped my old meter and need a new one. Does anyone have any recommendations on a good quality (i.e., accurate) DMM at a good value that has provisions to test for transistor hfe, preferably also with capacitance testing feature?

This is what I use:

Specs:

Function Specification
Digits 3 1/2
DC Volts min. max. 1,000V
AC Volts min. max. 700V
DC Current min. max. 10A
AC Current min. max. 10A
Resistance min. max. 200 meg ohms
Capacitance min. max. 20uF
Frequency 20KHz +/- 1.5% or better
Diode check HFE 1 ~ 1,000
Temperature Measurement min. -20 degrees C max. 1,000 degrees C

Yes, it is for VT students, but you should still be able to get it in NoVa.

I love my Fluke 87, however, my $30 craftsman DMM from the hardware store is great too.

I just picked up one of these at the local surplus house : http://www.multimeterwarehouse.com/m810bf.htm

It works so well, I think I'll get a couple more for the shop and cars ... US$9 or less.

... no capacitance meter

... does xistors hFE & diode polarity (with beeper!) ... DC volts to 500

... no freq counter ...

Many DMMs even the cheap one do have the hFE function.
