power amplifier 400w @ 4 ohms

Hi, this amplifier i´m building, but have problems.

The transistor is blowing...any of you guys can help me out?

Need more details...such as 'what amp?' Can you post a schematic?

which transistors are blowing?.. is it the driver or output stage?..

for the output stage,check those 2 IN4004 bias on 2 driver transistors.. it may be open..

and those vrail are too high that could burn your amp.. this design are more in our country and i really dont like it..

i have this amp before and keeps me in trouble..you may refered to the other design made by our fellows here.. try those leach amp and others..

try this..this is simple and easy to build..

Clovi_kate, i must inform you that you post a schematic which have beep posted by someone who had some fault! There is dc voltage on spk out!

I'm also building that amp these days. People say that it is stable and good sounding, but ignore those voltage in red

The 'C' version of the TIP 41/42 can handle no more than +/- 50V

At this kind of power I would consider a MOSFET amp... also, if this is for domestic use, do you *really* need 400W into 4 ohms?

M250 is rated 250w @ 4ohm, which is enough for any standard hi-fi speaker. Add anodher 250w for second channel and you have 500w for home music (or video)
