Default what class amp ??

just obtained a harmer+simmons SM600 switch mode power rectifier used for batt recharging purposes. The specs says Vout=54.5Vdc and Iout=12Adc. would this unit be of any good to power an amp of choice?

not sure what sort of amp class would that rectifier module be usefull. seems that all class A/AB and D design seems to want like +35V,0,-35V versus this one at +54V,0

Can some help here? thks

Most amps can be converted for use on single power rails, with a few modifications and the addition of an output capacitor. Class-d modules you might struggle with though.

would there be a schematic i could refer to do a single rail amp then? or would it be better to try and split the current 54.5V,0 to say +25V,0,-25V........how do i do that... the ps does not seem to have the usual mains transfo and the bridge rectifier.
