Hi,
I''ve been looking for some tweaks about Audio Research LS2B and I've just read on audioreview that changing some caps, It improve very much. http://www.audioreview.com/cat/ampli...7_1591crx.aspx Do you know something about this tweak? Doesn't anyone have the components layout of this preamp? I'm looking for it. Enzo. |

Replacing a capacitor is clearly audible but can also be seriously exaggerated. Assuming the original caps are not total junk you may consider playing with various bypass arrangements instead. It's a pretty nutty circuit if you ask me. Are all the components in the nfb path just trying to avoid an extra cap? Or is there more to it than i see? I'd be tempted to remove the opamp and surrounding components and replace them with a cap+resistor. Unless R43 has a very small value and requires an electrolytic. |
