Krell PAM-5 schematics for riaa problem.
Hi all of you.
I have a Krell PAM-5. Today i was trying to set up a turntable and used the phono part of the Krell as MC/riaa amp. A signal is going throug the riaa but the background noice is notisable. What postionning the volume at #12# it sounds like the volume is turned up full. When changing the MM/MC svitch, there is no change in the gain of the amp. I suspect that some transistors in the MM/MC amp just before the riaa amp are bad. Maybe some of you have other ideas? I have ground the inputs of the MC - no change. I have read about the schematics of this amp is to be found om the net, but i can not fid them. Does anny of you know where to find it. Best regards, Peter Jensen. |
