Hello!
Has anyone used the MUX08/16, integrated JFET mulitplexers from Analog Devices, as an analog switch for audio?? http://www.analog.com/UploadedFiles/...eets/MUX08.pdf Would this be a better switch for a shunt attenuator than a CMOS switch like MAX306? http://www.maxim-ic.com/quick_view2.cfm/qv_pk/1061 Or do you have any other suggestions for a solid state shunt attenuator?? Thanks!

Yes, they are cool but if I need 16 or 24 for each channel it will be quite expensive.
The MUX08 and MUX16 are ICs with 8/16 JFET switches and MAX306 has 16 CMOS switches.

What would you use to control the 3-bit logic for this?

Well, you can use a counter or a 4bit switch like this http://www.elfa.se/pdf/35/03538501.pdf.
