Default Bootstrapped Op Amp

Has anybody read this?

http://www.edn.com/contents/images/45890.pdf

It seems like a good idea.

It does indeed.

I'm wondering if this would be good for an opamp-frontend power amp. I might have a play with the idea in LTSPICE

Great article!

As a side note, for more information on bootstrapping opamps, look on the web for these terms:

suspended supply opamp

I think it's the same or similar concept that was illustred in the article.

Add a decent current amplifier will produce a good quality power amplifier.

This has already be done, by Audio Analogue.

This link contains schematics for a few versions of the Puccini amplifier which is based on boot strapped Op amp.

I am trying to get my head around it...

It has extra voltage swing, at the cost of reduced current output?

So one would need an output stage after it?
