It does indeed.
I'm wondering if this would be good for an opamp-frontend power amp. I might have a play with the idea in LTSPICE

Great article!
As a side note, for more information on bootstrapping opamps, look on the web for these terms: suspended supply opamp I think it's the same or similar concept that was illustred in the article. |

Add a decent current amplifier will produce a good quality power amplifier.

This has already be done, by Audio Analogue.

I am trying to get my head around it...
It has extra voltage swing, at the cost of reduced current output? So one would need an output stage after it? |
