Your project is a very Excellent and professional Compressor...

Also I am trying different types of circuits...
The VCA diode of Domplotz is based on dinamic diode resistance
varied with direct polarization.
diode vca - build and measured. what amplification for output signal?

This solution need a very small input signal on diode and it has (i think)
enough distorsion...
(In my experiments with spice I have use the diode as a soft clipper
signal )

For my use the simplest solution is a circuit with vactrol.

bye

I don't know why but it would be better even to write in the title :

ha ha, yeah that would get some attention.

I have checked out the on semi NE570/571 or is it 572? but i dont know how to add the attack/threshold/makeup gain controls. I actually bought samples of those chips. have you seen any good schematics with those chips?
