I am in the process of building 8 Jung/ALW super regulators. Farnell/CPC and RS components don't seem to stock the 817, Newark a part of Farnell stock them, but I refuse to pay an additional £15 for PnP just for a few opamps.
Are there any alternatives? I've got a few AD797s on hand, but they can suffer from stability issues it seems. Many thanks Matt.

Hi,
I have read that opa228 performs well in low noise situations where 797 were specified. This may be a case where it could do an adequate job. They are surprisingly cheap for the spec they achieve. Also available as dual 2228 and quad 4228 and unitygain 227, 2227, 4227.
