Does anybody know how these probe values were calculated for SOUNDEASY and ARTA?

thx but chosen for arbitrary attenuation does not add up to -20dB

The R1 has to be 9 times greater than R2 for 20 dB attenuation.

Don't forget the soundcard's input impedance, which is in parallel with the shunt resistor.
