Default PCB CAD/CAM Recommendation?

Can anyone recommend a good, reasonably powerful CAD/CAM program for PCB layout? (I've tried PCB Express).

Has anyone tried Eagle?

Thanks in advance,

Jon

I have been using Dip Trace lately.

And then there is Design Spark that has just had a recent upgrade to V6.0.

Seriously, among the free and unrestricted ones, Kicad and DesignSpark PCB are the best.
For simple circuits, FreePCB is also very simple to use.
