Many thanks for that Ray. I've just run the update now on my old laptop and its corrected the issue.
If I'd waited 24 hours it would have saved a lot of work I really thought at first it was something I'd done.thanks again

Bugs won't get fixed if nobody reports them! I did add a comment on the Yahoo forum that the bug affected not only bipolar transistors but JFETs and MOSFETs too.
