Hi,
I'm trying to build a SW squeeze based player on a Linux micro board. The board runs a 2.6 Linux (Debian). I run Squeezeslave with ALSA on it, connecting via WIFI and it plays well over my USB DAC. I have another DAC (12XTA1534) with direct I2C input and I want to connect the player to is. I want to be able to pass the sound via the I2C channel to the DAC. Dose anyone had expirance with Linux I2C ? Don't know how the player (Squeezeslave) can connect to this device (I2C) ? Is it over the ALSA driver (some ALSA - I2C ??), is there another way ? the player has standard connectivity to ALSA, not sure how to connect it to the I2C port ? also is there different I2C protocol definitions or should any output will be suited to my DAC ? many thanks, Nadav |
