I'm looking at different software and RMAA looks pretty good for the price (free). I'd like to hear what others are using for testing. I don't mind spending a few dollars, however I saw one that was "modular" and they charge an additional $200 for the "waveform generator"... it looked like a full featured set-up was around $1300.00. This is for bench testing audio components, will be in the lab (not on a laptop).
Thoughts appreciated... |

depending on your requirement for UI, smooth process you can cobble together freeware
LTspice has .wav import/export functions and could create very complicated test wav files - not as handy as a function generator but lots more powerful Audacity open source sound editor can play/record through your soundcard SciLab is a free MatLab work-alike that has translations of many MatLab signal processing toolboxes and can also import .wav for analysis |

I think the free version of RMAA is frequency limited to 15 kHz.
Two options are... ARTA: ARTA Home Dr Jordan: WinAudioMls: Audio Realtime Analyzer for Windows platform using FFT and MLS |

Don't forget AudioTester. Quite good for the money.
