Just went through a little hassle so thought I would post the resolution. I got a 1300 point high res cal file for my mic. When bringing it into TrueRTA (current version 4) it crashed. Turns out TrueRTA can only handle 750 points. So imported into Excel, deleted every other line, rounded to only 4 digits and exported as tab delimited text. Badda-bing, badda-boom. Nice cal. File imported into SoundEasy just fine. I noticed it's export file was reduced to about 750 or so points, but it had the synthesized phase response with it.
If you have not had a mic calibrated, between my two EC8000's, you would not know they were the same mic. Way different. As I learned the hard way, don't assume they are close enough. hey are not. |
