Greetings!
Does anyone know how to create a true voltage controlled resistor in Pspice (using E, F, G, and H controlled sources)? I found a great site on how to create a VCR using text-based Spice: Voltage-Controlled Resistor I am wondering if there is a way to do this in the graphical PSpice student version. The problem I am having is defining the gain of a controlled source. In text-based Spice, you can make the gain of a controlled source variable (for instance, you can make the gain of a controlled voltage source equal to the current through one branch multiplied by the voltage across a resistor in another branch). I don't *think* you can do this in graphical Spice because the GAIN field of a controlled source requires a constant number - the program gives an error if I try to put some kind of equation in for gain. |

why wouldn't you use LtSpice? BI, BV source equations work - no "student" limitations, free, active support

You're right jcx,
I should get into LTspice (I have it, but I haven't used it extensively yet). It appears that there is no "B" voltage or current source in Pspice student. |
