I think "less is more" is valid here also.
 
My bad, thought it was for a text logo. So, here is a draft of one of mine taken up a notch.

OK, i'm going to step in with some constructive critism...

1st off, any logo needs to work as a gif. And in the case of karma's latest, the white will need to be transparent (Bas with his has an added "background "flag" which defines the space around the logo.
