Hey all new here and new to the whole DIY audio thing.

Heres my conundrum

I have a Harman kardon Avr 10that is blowing fuse F101 which is 500 milliamp 125 volt if i use aluminum foil around it the amp powers up the volume knob mmoves to all the way down and i get nothing on the LCD display.

Like I said im new to this whole thing but willing to learn can anyone help me please

Wrapping foil around a fuse is a major no no.Defeats the fuses purpose and has probably caused more damage...Your best bet is to find a qualified repair tech. and hope you haven't rendered the unit beyond economical repair.IMHO:)

Do you have a DMM ? Are you familar with discreet electronic components and know how to read schematic diagrams ?Do you have a schematic or service manual? If you have a schematic and are willing to e-mail me a legible copy I can try to step you through the Troubleshooting.
