i have the hartke 3500 and its claims the 240 watts at 8 ohms and 350 watts at 4 ohms. i have a 215xl series 400 watt hartke cab.

do these match?

and how do i get 4 ohms out of my amp? to match my 4 ohm speakers?

theres two 8 ohm inputs from the speakers on the amp
and one 4 ohm input on the speaker cab.

What impedance is your cab?, presumably it's 4 ohms? - so you can just plug it into one of the sockets on the amplifier - but you can't use the second socket for another cab (it's either two 8 ohm cabs, or one 4 ohm).

yeah its a 4 ohm cab. and thats what i do is plug the cab in one of the 8 ohm plugson the amp. one single cab that is.

so that automatically makes the amp put out the 350 watts?
Nigel Goodwin
Yes, the two '8 ohm' sockets will just be wired in parallel.
