Hey guys I am getting some things together to build a BPA300 later on down the road. I will need 12 LM3886s if I am correct.

I this a good lot:

There are two different styles of chips, is this ok? Is it true about what he says about the LM3886Ts being more efficient?:

"In bridge version, the LM3886T is more efficient due to his metallic socket !"

The metal tabs allows better thermal transfer to the heatsink... on the other hand it is electricaly conductive (connected to V-) so for lots of chips it may be easier to use the plastic tabs...

They've got the TF's for $1,99, look a bit down on front page.

they look used, are they used? i would go for tf's just cause you wont have to worry about isolAting the chips drom heatsink, or heatsink from chassis
Mayday
Yes used, but supposed to be tested.

Thanks guys for the response. Sounds like the tf's are the better way to go. Thanks for the good find Mayday, is that where you purchased your chips for the BPA300?
