Finally Pavel has said OK to run a group buy deal. Please sign the list above if you are interested. The first step is only an interest check.

Im down for 2 and 4 inductors!
peranders
Nice! Pavel's pdf has been download many, many times, thousands and now maybe even 10000's. I have no statistics for a period of time. I'll hope this curiosity will result in some boards.
peranders
The real interest is rather cool but I'll hope we can get at least 50 boards. Since a few days 1500 persons have viewed the documention and I see many people comes from Czech republic.
trango
I'm in for one set!

What will be the price ?

Tuco.

I'll recommend you to read what I have written about the price. You have it in the first section of the wiki page. See link above or in my signature.

I am in for 5 boards and 10 inductors.

Brian
peranders
At the moment there are 28 boards at the list. It would have been nice if we could reach at least 50 boards.
peranders
It seems most likely that we'll reach 50 boards. That's good
Peter Daniel
I received one of the early boards that Pavel had and I can confirm that they are very well made indeed, just looking at them I learned few tricks myself ;)
peranders
An english BOM is added.

im in for 4 boards and 4 inductors !!!
Spasticteapot
Depends on the price. I'm poor!
peranders
What is your limit?
neutron7
I would go for 2 boards + 4 inductors

best regards

yusuf
I will go for 2 board + 4 inductors. I may go for 4 board depending on price I can afford.

I updated wiki, I guess 50 boards target is reached.

Thanks,

Is it one dollar or 10 or 20?

The interest is good as we can see and I'll move further in the project. I will create a new list and you have to start paying me. Paypal is prefered and the currency is SEK which Paypal supports. There are other payment options but please stick to Paypal when it's possible.

I suppose I could manage $10-$20 for a board, tops, depending on how much it costs to populate it.

1 board and 2 inductors for me, please.:)

Are there any hard to find components in this design?

IMO, almost all the components should be easily available. May be author of this thread will have better answer.
EvilYoda
I'm also curious as to how much the rest of the components will cost. The PCBs/inductors will be cheap enough, but a parts list or overall estimate would be awesome :-)
peranders
Have you checked the BOM? You'll have to do this check by yourself. I´The total cost is very much dependent of how much you have in your junk drawers and where you plan to buy the rest.

I'm in for 2 boards and 4 inductors.
yusuf
curious about timeline.

As you can see I am excited about this project :)
peranders
I'll expect to start collecting money in few days and then give people 10 days for payment. After that it takes 3 weeks, maybe 4. After that a couple of days to winding coils and do the packaging. The shipment will take 3-5 days to most places in the world, max 10 days.
wim
i signed in, but what is the price for a board and a ready made inductor??
valo
Hello
Iam in for 2 boards and 4 inductors , do you use paypal
peranders
Yes, Paypal is prefered (have you read the wiki page about payment  ). It seems that the interest is about 100 pcb's. I will very soon create the real list and collecting money.
jaybombalous
Well with work and stuff its hard for me to keep up with this thread ATM. I signed up myself for 2 boards and 4 inductors. I am just waiting to find out the price of the board so I can pay you through paypal.

Can anyone tell me how I can keep track of specific threads, like maybe get an e-mail when this thread is updated??? Edit: Yeah I finally found the user cp link!

Anyway, I will be purchasing the boards so please don't throw me aside if you don't see me for a few days. :)
peranders
Very soon the price will be set so have a subscribtion of this thread and you will be updated.
orto
I'd be interested in making this the first amp I build. Does this seem wise? Seems like the pcb simplifies alot of the wiring. I could maybe lean on the rest of you group buyers as well
peranders
Much is won if the wiring already is done (by Pavel). By that you'll get a predictable result. This is worth much
Upupa Epops
Thank you guys for your interest, today's number of PCB's interested persons is really surprise for me  . But I have one question - how I see, most of you want more than one desk and I'm asking : for what do you can use them ? For active boxes or for your friends ? Do you have interest to develope active x-over or preamp for this module ? What do you need more ? Your notices will be welcome...
CeeVee
You have done a fantastic job on this ....as usual!
You should not be surprised by the response.
It seems P-A and myself agreed as soon as we saw it.

Speaking for myself, I have put in for 8 channels because I would like to experiment with an open baffle (a la Linkwitz, but using drivers I already have); so, YES, I would be very interested in an active crossover that integrates with the amplifier module.

Upapa, are you thinking of making the crossover so it uses power from the amp module?

Regards.

Aengus
Upupa Epops
Power consumption from module is pratically only llimited by power dissipation of serial zener diode, i.e. approximately 200 mA. It is value, which make possible to use minimally twony pcs of " normal " opamps. It is enough for most of " cooperated " circuits, by my opinion we don't need other PS...
Aengus
Sounds good. That means I could set up integrated "quad-blocks", each with 4 channels of amplification plus x-overs, near each speaker. This would make the cable run from the pre-amp nice and compact.

Upapa, I remember that you mentioned earlier in the thread that you had begun work on an active crossover - would you mind telling us how far you've got?

And, while I'm writing, let me thank you for sharing your work with us - it sure makes life easier on those of us who are, um, somewhat lacking in technical skill :xeye:

Regards.

Aengus
Upupa Epops
Our team ( CzechAudio ) prepare quite universal " super x-over ", which will know " everything ". It will be modular conception, two, three, three and half, four way, state variable, 24 dB/oct, phase correction, baffle step etc. etc. . Design is ready, at this time we draw pcb's, total thirteen ones and it is rather many work. Some parts from this design I can eventually to use with this modul ( simplified, offcourse ). Be patient... :)
trango
I think the attention is well deserved, as far as I can say, it's an outstanding design.

I will buy 2-5 pcs depending on price. I don't know today how they will be used, I may use them in my Linkwitz Orion setup or maybe build a couple of amps to give to friends. Active-X-over and preamp would both be appreciated!

Thanks

Maybe I missed something... but is there a parts list written in english?

Sry, a little to new to try and understand a new language and a new hobby all at once.
EvilYoda
If you check the instruction manual on his page (it's a PDF), there's a parts list at the very end. I'm also new to this, but figured that with such a well designed PCB, that this would be a good amp to tackle.
Upupa Epops
Look at PA03 BOM english
peranders
The sharp list is up now. Please start to email me and pay me as fast as possible. Please read how I want the payment should be done.
bobgroger
P-A,
I am not the sharpest pencil in the box, so it's no surprise I find the shipping charge somewhat confusing. You have 3 columns listed. Shipping, regular, and registered. If we want regular mail do we pay "shipping" plus "regular?
2 boards to USA 25+195=220SEK?

Thanks for doing this!
Bob G.
orto
Has anybody from the states figured out a rough estimate to the cost of populating these pcbs? I've been trying to with the BOM excel sheet, but am quite the newb.
postalrat
Are the columns "Regular SEK" and "Registered SEK" correct in the "The world, all prices in SEK" table? They seem a little low. From what I read they should be slightly higher then the values in "Europe, all prices in SEK" but are infact lower in some instances.

Should I just multiply 105 by the number of boards and add the shipping listed in "The world, all prices in SEK" plus 65 additional SEK if I want registered mail?
EvilYoda
Seems pretty straightforward...I'll email you tonight and to the US, it looks like 2 boards with readymade inductors is 235SEK for regular shipping, which is roughly $33-34USD.

Thanks, some errors  corrected

"Shipping SEK" is the fee for regular mail, 25, 50 ,80 SEK etc as info only.

"Regular SEK" is the total cost, boards + regular mail
"Registered SEK" is the total cost, boards + registered mail

The price for you is the columns "Regular SEK" and "Registered SEK"
peranders
I'm off. See you on Monday, late. Meanwhile you can pay me.
jaybombalous
The way I see it,

210 SEK (2 pcb's plus RM induc.) + 25 SEK (Shipping for rest of world 'USA' 2 pcb's) = 235 SEK

235 SEK = $34.02 US dollars.

Yes???

I'm not sure but I think you got it wrong, P-A wouldn't charge 235sek for shipping alone. 235sek is incl regular shipping.
jaybombalous
Yes, I see now what he meant, sry for the confusion!!! I fixed it.

I admit I haven't read the entire thread, but will there also be a groupbuy of the components? Could get costs down a bit.

A group buy of the components hasn't been mentioned yet, but I'm sure a group could be put together. I would be in.

This would be a great idea!
Upupa Epops
Most expensive parts are made by italian manufacturers : Pada ( heatsink ), Kendeill ( PS capacitors ), Finder ( relays ), although similar devices you can find all around the world...
EvilYoda
A group buy of the components would be excellent...but could very quickly turn into a huge mess. I imagine that if someone were to gather the parts numbers for the US buyers, that could simplify things, as shipping would be limited to the states.

Unfortunately (of course), I would be unable to contribute for another 1-2 months due to my schedule. :( (I think I might just sit on the boards til late summer and fool around with a kit from Peter Daniel or something...something to whet my appetite)
peranders
Hello, guys! I'm back now and I have answered all emails (quite many).

Rather many haven't responed yet, please hurry up.
peranders
A couple of you guys have hidden email addresses, you must get in contact with me if you want any boards. The rest of you guys which I have sent email to and haven't responded, is this a sign of "want no boards after all"?

So far the money collecting has gone very smoothly thanks to Paypal. Only a very few of you have chosen other sorts of payment.
EvilYoda
Emailed you and paid you...should I change the wiki or will you do it?
peranders
This is fixed already.
peranders
A last request for those who paid interest but not have responed. Very soon will I make the deadline.

Hi Peranders,

I hope I am not too late, please put me down for 2 PCBs with inductors. One PCB is enough for 2 channels right?

Shipped to USA.

Sending you a PM too.

Thanks a lot,
Dinesh

Put yourself at the list as fast as you can. The pcb is stereo.
peranders
The 25th April 2007 are the boards expected and all boards will be delivered max 2 weeks later.

Thanks for the update... I will be on call for a whole week in may, 24-7 for a special event. This should give me plenty to do while I await for something to break.

Is it possible to get in on this or am I to late
peranders
This is in the very last minute so hurry up.
jaybombalous
tomorrow is the 25th, lets hope there is no delay in the production of these boards.

Thanks again pavel and peranders for all the great work on this group buy.

The pcb's will turn up very soon now but the inductors will be delivered in 1-2 weeks. Expect up to three weeks delivery time from that I have got the pcb's. I will notifiy each person when I post the pcb's.

What should we be looking for in a heat sink? Dimensions and C\W rating? Also, heat sinks need to be isolated from chip or ground? Looking for USA distributor..

Thanks,

PA,

The pile of boards looks good, I see the outline for the heatsink.

Can you supply the exact heatsink to fit the board? I wouldn't

have to search all over looking for something to work.

Thank You

How many are intrested of doing a group buy of the resistors for the board. If i get 35-40 buyers I can set togheter a package for all resistors for about 50 SEK including mail (Sweden).
