| will the remote operate this unit as stand alone or, does it have to be linked to a Marantz Amp, Receiver, etc. i have one in shipment with remote, due to arrive on Wednesday and was just curious since i am handicapped. Thanks! :) |

The remote will operate the Cd player alone.
There are a small pair of sockets on the rear which allows the CD player to be controled from other Marantz equipment, and so there is also a switch which selects whether the cd player 'listens' to the handset remote or a plugged-in system remote. Play with this switch if your remote doesn't appear to operate the player! |
