I have bought a pair of Threshold SA-6e monoblocks, which are a dream since my youth (a long time ago guys !...), but unfortunately, I did not get the users' manual.
So I am looking for somebody who could scan it and send it me by mail.
Thanks very much !

| I ended up with a S/1600e SA/4e SA/12e owner's manual. |

Very good Nelson: how can I get a high res copy of them ?
On my side, I can already provide you with a full copy of the SA/3.9e user's manual: if you are interested (or anybody else on this forum), just tell me and I scan it for you.
I have also probably find another source to get a copy of the SA-6e users'manual sometimes in March: probability is about 90%, because the person that sold me the two SA6e seems to have kept a copy of it ! As for the 3.9e, if you or anybody else is interested, I will give a copy as soon as I get it.
Waiting your reply,
Thanks very much and best regards,

Thank you very much (2 times !;) ) Sir !
I scan the SA-3.9e user's manual as soon as I am back to home for you or anybody else on this forum who could be interested by it.
Thanks again ! |

I have scanned the SA3.9e Operating Manual, and I have seen a good news, which is that it also applies (according to the first page of the manual) to the following models:
SA4e, SA6e, SA10e, SA12e, S350e, S450e, S550e, S1600e !
I have stored it on my website in the "download" section, which has been setup recently.
Here is the download section:
http://edcmsa39.free.fr/download.php?lng=en
The manual is 36 PDF pages that I have split in 4 parts for an easier downloading (part 1= pages 1 to 9, part2 = pages 10 to 19, etc...), so do not hesitate to get it if you are interested.
I will post the Operating Manual of the Threshold T2 preamplifier soon.
As you will see, the site is largely oriented towards the Threshold and Nelson PASS devices: we are fan of them (!) and regurlarly do full reviews and talk about them (the forum has also been opened recently). I will be honored if some of you sign the guestbook and/or use the forum...
Thanks again to all (and special thanks to NP),

| Apogee |
Greetings Nounours,
I wanted to say thank you for posting the Threshold manual. I too have downloaded it.
I also wanted to compliment your site, very, very nice!!!!
Without intending to hijack this thread, I saw the info on your website regarding Apogee and thought that I'd let you know that the company is back!
Graz in Australia has purchased the rights to the name and has reintroduced two of the speakers (so far). (Please note, I have no affiliation with the company)
Go here:
http://www.apogeeacoustics.com
Also, for the Apogee User's Website (good resource) go here:
http://www.apogeespeakers.com/
Lastly, the user's forum:
http://audioworld.com/cgi-bin/sw/fo...topics&number=1
I've included these links with the thought that perhaps a few of your site's visitors would also find them of interest.
Enjoy!
Best regards, |

not exactly back: the name is back but the company is not owned by the initial founders... There is also a Greek Company who has been making Apogee clones for a few years (I will send you the link soon).

True. Graz is the guy who made and sold the copies of the original ribbons used in the Apogee speakers (in fact they are better than the original ribbons). Unfortunately he has decided to stop selling them directly to the end users as he has been done for years (particularly for the bass ribbons) probably in order to protect his business...
This is a big problem for the end users living in a country where there is no authorized "Graz dealer": you simply cannot move a pair of Apogee Diva by yourself (too big, too heavy). I live in France, and until I can get replacement ribbons, I will not buy a pair of Apogee...
You can contact my website co-founder, named Florent (provence13 on my website forum): he is a "guru" of the Apogee speakers, and we make a lot of our equipment reviews, including the Threshold amps (those designed by Nelson Pass only...) with a pair of Apogee Diva on which he has changed the ribbons recently.
But since Graz do not sell his ribbons anymore, I have stopped looking for a pair of used Apogee, because in case I have a pb with them, the speakers are useless !
This is a pity for me that Graz stopped selling the replacement ribbons, because I was looking for a pair of Diva...
Do not hesitate to contact my friend Florent via my Forum: he knows everything (and everybody !) relating to the Apogee speakers !
Thanks friends,
Nounours.
P.S.: I will try to scan the Threshold T2 users' manual this evening... |

De rien jacco ! The Threshold heritage (or should we say the Nelson PASS heritage ?) is still up to date: the Pass designed amps are still wonderful sounding devices...

The website has been set online recently... Maybe there is not so many people interested by Threshold or other beauties built in the 90s...
anyway, do not hesitate to use it, post some news if you like (any visitor can post a new for the time being), or use the forum...
Bye (I go to my scanner to put the T2 manual online...)
