Powering Amp Problems - Click HERE for Original Thread

I recently bought this amp and is brand new out of the box. I connected all the wiring as necessary and the (4 gauge) power wire is connected to the battery already. I also grounded the amp as necessary to a good spot but I'm still not able to get it up and running. The remote wire is also in place. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

With your multimeter set to DC volts and the head unit on (so you'll have remote voltage at the amp)...

Place the black meter lead on the ground terminal. When you touch the red lead to the B+ or the remote terminal, you should read something near 12 volts. If both have 12v present, the amp is very likely DOA.
