My own TD-160 Plinth Story - Click HERE for Original Thread

Not as cool as the other one, which is really amazing...but when I got my stock TD-160, I hated the look so I set about making my own LP12-esque black ash plinth out of MDF. It really made the sound focus and jump out, but I had heard MDF could be kind of lifeless, so I did what I did to my subwoofer (thanks to folks on the subs forum) and coated the inside with dish-drying "grip" stuff.

WOW! I had no idea I would get such clarity and presence out of such a simple tweak. This thing sounds amazing now. Thanks again to the forum!

And what might this "stuff" be?

It's that foam-rubber mesh that you dry dishes on, put under carpets, etc.
