Can anyone suggest chipamps that will run on a +12 volt supply? This will be used in an automotive 5.1 system I'm working on.Space is a major concern and available 5.1 car amps can sink a battleship!

You may use Philips's TDA1560Q.. It works in class H and can give up to 40W RMS. Noise and THD values are not comparable with conventional chip amps but it works fine.

The TDA7560 is an extremely good caramp.
4x28W (2ohm&12V) and VERY low dist. Peak current is 10A!!!!
The TDA7561-7566 are cheaper but also good but you need to do some programming.
