Cheapest LM3886(TF) ? - Click HERE for Original Thread
TroelsM
Hi.

This has probably been covered thousand times, but i can´t find it using the search-function.

Where do I buy the cheapest LM3886(TF)? That depends on location and means of payment, but why don't we all share info on the best places to buy the little devils?

I'm located in Denmark, but could buy from the www using visa-card.

I'm looking for at least 10 pieces.

RS-components and Farnell is somewhere around 7-10$ pr amp.

That is to much. Agree?

Don't expect to get it much cheaper unless you buy a whole tube...

National has a regional distibutors list on their site... maybe you can find a slightly better deal through that...I know RS is marginaly more expensive...
TroelsM
Hi.

Ok, maybe I'm just cheap and optimistic.. :-)

What's the tube-size? Might be an option. The rest could be sold.

Just turned on the entire brain.. :-)

NS homepage list a price of 3$ (Budgetary Pricing) for a rail of 20.

That more like it! I have no clue as to whether or not I'll be able to buy at that price though...

I have some I can sell at 4ˆ/pc.
Have to check how many, at least 5 but not likely 10.

Let me know if you are interested.

Cheers

Pay attention that 3886 is out of production now. So, there is good possibilities that you have buy a FAKE, especially if price = $3 :D
TroelsM
Hi Kuzmenko.

The 3$ I'm referring to is the price on the NS homepage. I seriously doubt that they are selling fakes...

:-)

I just checked the National web page and both the LM3886T and TF are in full production with a 6 week lead time. Where are you getting this information?

Second-hand, used product NOT new !!!
jackinnj
i have a couple hundred of the "T" version if you care to send me a private email. I don't think there is any advantage to the TF save inferior thermal impedance.

Hi

http://www.reichelt.de/

search for 3886. Reichelt is known for selling fakes, but a friend of mine tested theese and they seem to be allright.

BlacK_Chicken
Yes I normally dont buy my semiconductors from reichelt.

But my LM3886tf chips were geniue parts and work quite well.

I read this 6 months ago and forgot. Just received them. They look to be pulls, but never used. The leads are shiny, never connected to. They also seem to be shorter than others.
There are traces of heatsink paste on them. The short leads will make them harder to mount. If pulled, they went to a lot of trouble to put the shiny coating. and cutting the leads so uniformly. Maybe that is an indicator of age, all I have seen have dull coating on the leads. Were shiny leads ever offered?
Parts Express had new ones for 3.99, I should not be so cheap. Afraid to use these, hate to damage something by trying to save 2.00 per LM3886TF.

I am planning a group buy of these. Future seems to be a good supplier.

Price in US $
21 - 60 : 3.6800
61 - 140 : 3.4200
141 - + : 3.1100

A group buy sounds good, as US$3.68 is a great price for the LM3886TF, and the site seems genuine enough, so fakes are unlikely. However, I'm after the T, not the TF. There is a huge price break at 21 pieces, US$4.93 to 3.56, but I only want 8. So if anyone else out there is keen for some LM3886Ts, give me an email.

You can easily order from Hong Kong or China at around US$3.xx each, but I am not sure how much the shipping cost will be, I just got 6 TF brand new from China at US$3.20 each.
