Digital out on Audigy 2 - Click HERE for Original Thread

I have a new Dell computer with Audigy 2 card. For sake of avoiding running wires across the floor, I like to run the computer S/PDIF sgnals over a 2.4 Ghz video link. However, due to the WAY out of spec voltage level of the Audigy 2 card, this is not possible. Using an oscilloscope, I determined the voltage on the digital out is 9 volts P-P! This is too much for the video transmitter, but does work with a direct cable connection.

Anyone else notice this, or is there something wrong with my card? Could I just build a buffer circuit to lower the voltage to something more reasonable?

A 500 ohm resistor seemed to do the trick.
