What waveform to use for testing? - Click HERE for Original Thread
__BriKs__
Hello,

To introduce me I'm a beginner and I try to design my own class D amp. My question is about trig generator for no self oscillating design. I saw on Internet that the less the trig amplitude is the less distorstion you have. However with little amplitude you can have a lot of noise.

So I use a specialized ic to have my trig waveform (yes I'm a beginner, I cheat, I use specialized ic dont hit me :) ). A xr2026 so I think it is able to generate audio signal level triangle without too many disto ( 2V p-p ). It is a good idea to have a 2v p-p trig waveform or it is best to reduce level of input audio signal to fit with amp of the trig gen?

Many thanks
